"Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:39

There are three of you in a boat that's about to sink: you are between the person you love and the person who makes you happy (or happiest, most probably). If you can only choose to save only one of the two, who will you choose? [rephrased]

Wala lang...
It used to be easy for me to automatically choose the one who I love... but that would in some way be unfair for the one who has caused you much happiness... the one who had always been there for you and see you through the worst...

and yet could you just let the one you love go that easily? Maybe, just maybe, if you truly love that someone, you would struggle to save him... you would fight for him...

but what if that person you love don't love you back? will saving him make any sense at all?

LOVE: 1 Corinthians 13

1
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

but if you save the one you love (who can't love you back), what about the love the other person has for you?

hmmm... pero what if there's a big possibility that the guy you love actually love you back... and he's just a bit hesitant to let you know? :">

well...the boat IS sinking and you can't wait for the boat to sink all the way down to the bottom before he decides to make a move. love can wait but time waits for no one. you obviously have love for him, i don't know that many people who would've waited as long as you did (as long as you are?). but if you really wanted to, and if he is really in love with you, you can make him move. and i don't mean forcibly...you can make him move without him even knowing. yes, that's the kind of power women have over men. you just have to know how to use it. =P
