my take...

=p=o=l=i=t=i=c=s=

there's a lot talk about this lately. and i'd have to agree that the way things are being done just shows how deeply telenovelas have gotten into the core of our beings... and we all act as if we're part of this new soap about politics... initially what i wanted to do is to gather my thoughts about the matter but thinking about it is just... too exhausting... all these talks about it, whether it be pro or anti-administration just keeps the heat level up... and i doubt if it would be possible to resolve things between these nag-uumpugang bato. i believe that:

1. all Filipinos have the right to hear the said gloriagates tape. but then again, who is to say which indeed is the original copy? with the proliferation of different versions of the hello garci ringtones, how can one say if that tape hasn't been in any way altered? i've always believed in the current President's wit... with the way she handles her government she is indeed cunning... and i'm pretty sure she has already made up a foolproof course of action up her sleeve (and this was what caused the delay of her well-worded apology that only says in sum "i'm sorry, but can we please just forgive and forget?")

2. we should not start another "EDSA X" please... it has become a habit already. a bad one at that. i'd like to say that we should allow this matter to undergo due process of law... the constitution under which each citizen of the Philippines should be - no matter the age, no matter the position, employed or unemployed, President or ex-President... and yet, that suggestion would prove to be useless under the manipulative hands of those in power... unless all of their cellphone conversations be wiretapped... and unless each of their thoughts be read out aloud as the people involved in this scam -and in any sort of corruption- think each thought...

3. what is left for us to do is to pray for this country... everything is so subjective at this point... the country's being divided... friends of cousins of the neighbor of dot-dot-dot side with whoever because of the "affiliation"... and the people involved, those who are in the wrong will continue to try to hide their faults from public... bigger lies to cover the lies that has already been committed... and the longer it takes... the more and bigger lies there will be. unless they be bugged by their conscience... unless the end of the world comes... and we reach Judgment Day when the Judge won't be concerned of death threats or favors that he will receive from the one in power... because the Judge IS the most powerful... and nothing can be hidden from Him coz He IS the Truth... ><

my niece blaming her yaya for forgetting her necktie
+ my nephew being so kulit and ingay so early in the morning
+ my mom's foot getting stepped on by my pamangkin
+ yada yada yada
+ a very sleepy me
= the perfect recipe for a bad day T_T
well, not really the entire day, but the start at least... I read Philosophy Rocks! and it felt good... to be thinking a little out of the box again =)

Feels Like Home...

See? It is indeed a roller coaster ride... and I can say that I'm going up a bit now =) (and it's just a few hours after all my rantings...)

I feel so much better... after going to the place I called home for four years... the home of the Blue Eagles...

First stop: Ken Afford - nothing beats their chicken fillet! oh, I just forgot to have a buco pandan... and I thought my visit was complete =( could have been better pala... but it's ok =) still had a great time.

Second: walk walk walk and walk some more =) looked at a store that used to get supplies from us (not sure if they still do... [sorry can't help but look *lolz] ) found out that their staff don't know what they're selling... (wanted so much to give the info myself... but I had enough self control... they didn't even know the price of the stuff they're selling! good thing it wasn't a branch of ours... kundi... lagut sakin yung staff!!! *heh*)

Third: Saw my old dorm... may signage pala yun ng building number and name?! during my four years of stay, I didn't even notice! They have this new stationery shop Write Place. it has interesting stuff... and envelopes!!! to those who know me well... they know that I love buying cute envelopes... even though I don't get to use all of them... (probably has a hidden implication... always wanting to get organized... *lolz*)

Fourth: Jollibee!!! the most homey Jollibee in the world where I spent countless hours studying!!! (fyi, Katipunan also has the homiest McDonalds, Kenny Rogers, and Starbucks!!!) I guess it's because Katipunan is my second home!

Fifth: National Bookstore - I used to think it was the pinaka-not nice na NBS because of the "really classic" classic books... super classic, yellow na ung pages!!! But good thing they have new classic books already... and the place is a bit more organized now. But I've got just one problem... I bought clips that hold files... but I forgot how to use them /sob... I'll just have to try to figure it out =)

Sixth and last stop: Cello's Doughnuts and Dips - the place was simple... the doughnuts look tempting... and the taste? excellent! yummy... sayang I wasn't able to get the cocktail doughnuts... reserved na kasi yung andun eh.

Then... home bound... =) yup. I got some fresh air... and my spirit's not that down already... had a few laughs... reminisced some... indeed... there's no place like home 0=)

been bored for the past work-week ... not that i'm complaining or anything and not that i didn't enjoy being with my niece n nephews, i did but i can't really get to have actual work done with my weird sched...

the past week...
monday: first day funk... thought i woke up early... but my niece ended up being late. we did a lot of cramming preparing all the requirements she had.

tuesday: left 15 mins earlier than the day before... but still late =) ortigas can really go as far as an hour away from home on schooldays... argh

wednesday: we had just the right timing =) finally!
saw mr. and mrs. smith and loved it!

thursday: didn't wake up on time... /heh

friday: woke up just at the right time but when i went to my sister's place, i found out they already left... oh, how could my sister forgot all about me? *lolz*

saturday: yey!!! back to my old wake-up time again!!!
lunch at wan chai =) yummy hakao and roasted duck sotanghon (that shouldn't been called roated duch crabstick taro sotanghon!!! *lolz)
had napoli's for dinner. twas weird coz i didn't have much appetite as i used to (could this be a sign that i'm getting back into shape already? *praying* *wink*) just then the guys suddenly thought of watching sin city... which was uh... the most exciting movie i've ever watched! *lolz* if you knew me, you'd know that i'm being really sarcastic =) being the romantic-comedy movies lover that i am... i er... didn't like the movie. it was horrible... and gross... and yeah, hilarious in some ways too! the only thing that kept me awake was my curiosity... i was there already so might as well finish the whole thing, see what happens =) but i'd have to say i still enjoyed the movie, nevertheless... as i always say, it's the company that matters =)

sunday: woke up late... around 9am *yey* went to church at 11... had lunch with my mom at mr. choi's kitchen (love you mom, you knew i loved to eat there *wink*) bonded with her for a lil while
looked all over galleria for a nice pair of sandals i can wear for everyday-use (that means a pretty-looking AND at the same time comfy sandals) found none =( and i'm intending to look again later...
accompanied my niece to a kiddie party where i was asked to join a game! yaiks... that was pretty embarrassing... got a contact number of the company which made glitter tattoos... cool cool! wanted to get one but got too shy to do so *lol* been wanting one since i had that henna tattoo!
met up with my kada for dessert at breton (they knew i couldn't say no to breton!) had La Pinay instead of the usual strawberry short crepe which i still loved but i was too full to have it =) chitchat chitchat chitchat then sleep!

i think i'm getting really old... my bedtime's become really early, ao i get sleepy during gimiks... aw.. too bad... too bad...

6.12.2005

the past week =)

nyehhh... do i look like a mom already? i fetched my 3rd pamangkin from school yesterday, his second day of school. (he surprised me the other day when we were playing games in cartoonnetwork.com and he suddenly sang "first day funk"! i never liked the song, but coming from him, the song actually sounded cute) it was my first time to so i asked the mom beside me where the kids will be lined up, and she answered me, then asked, "first mo?" i thought she was asking if it was my first time so i said yes. then it hit me, she was asking if he was my first kid! *lolz* so i took it back and said Andee was my sister's third... /heh

☼Ü☼
had a bad dream last night. my college kada and i went out to some mall... we were complete in my dream, iris (who is now in the U.S.), grace (who is in CDO), ymae, valy and i, with valy driving her new white mazda 6 in my dream (way cool!) what was weird was, the back doors were all glass... and each back door had two locks. i was texting a client when i felt like being watched from outside. i placed my 9510 beside me (same side where the door is) then locked the bottom lock. then after a few minutes, the door opened and a hand grabbd my fone. good thing i was able to take it back...

i had a hunch we were being followed. the guy caught up with us and he asked the five of us to write short notes for him... i didn't know how but he managed to get my cedula with my signature in it... i didn't want him to know it was mine so i tried to change my handwriting and name... hehe it was a kinda scary and very weird dream...

☼Ü☼
i've been sleeping with the tv on for the past few days... seems i can't sleep when the room's filled with nothing but me and silence...

☼Ü☼
i'm done with my product catalog!!! for now... =) thanks to adobe acrobat which compressed my very large file from 40++megs to a mere 212kb! \:d/

my miss list...

schedule shift...

beginning thsi week, my official working hours would be 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM!!! I'm back to being a school girl again! haha =) Have to bring my niece to and fetch her from school... so now i'm doubling as a marketing and wholesale in-charge and... her personal mom-substitute...

i miss goin to school... even though it means having to sit thru philo... in tagalog... sometimes it's more fun than sitting thru work and being overwhelmed by the tons of work you have to do... *blush* dreaming of where you and your dormmates would have dinner at after philo class is more fun... than worrying through work and dreaming of finally getting some sleep :-s

---
napoli's...

been craving for it since last Sunday night... oh when will i ever have napoli's again???

napoli's red-sauce pasta... fettucine... japanese siomai... small donut with cinammon powder... what my sis and i call the cinnamonut!!!
and the list goes on... *blush*

just a thought...

got this from a friend's blog...

what is broken is broken -- and i'd rather remember it as it was at it's best than mend it and see the broken places as long as i lived.

early today!

wow... I haven't been this early these past few days... got sick again the day after i went to Bodyworx... I think I had to much gym-ing *lol*. I stayed there for what, around 2-3 hours? Probably got myself stressed out *wink*

anyways, it's been raining a bit these past few days... i got the flu, my niece and nephews did too...i gave my sister the colds too... (sorry atch)... but i'm hoping we'll all get better... gotta be better soon!

rainy days... they just give me a lot of fond memories of my high school days... nag-reminisce daw ba? haha... just can't help mentioning that... now that i did, i can get off to work again!

6.01.2005

Trying Bodyworx

my kada had these VIP passes for this gym and so, not being able to work out for some months now... (yeah yeah, as if i've worked out besides the 2 power pack sessions given at a gym i tried! *lol*) so i tried it... and i'm glad i did coz it was worth it =)

here are the plus points it got from me:
*really nice ambiance... you could smell fragrant oils they use for arometherapy as you come in... giving you a relaxed mind and body in preparation for your workout...

*they have fewer exercise machines than the one i tried but... they have fewer clients:equipment proportion also... fewer equipment, imo, is kinda advantageous too... since you get to see everything, and try everything.

*i have to admit, clients there are simpler... =)

*there is a higher staff:client proportion too... makes you feel taken care of.

*bigger shower cubicles!!! with appropriate hooks where you can hang your towel... haha

*lower personal trainer fee... though i'm not so sure if i'll avail of it =)

*all these for almost the same price!

i had fun... though i got really tired also... =) not sure if i could go to gym again... it all depends on my sched, it would be a waste if i'd just get to go twice a month... and besides, i still got badminton to think of =)
