then i finally saw the rainbow...

and up the sine curve i go!

after the roughest week of my entire life, there's no other way to go but up! my sister came back from the US with a handful of surprises for me.. she made me feel appreciated and well, that is one of the most beautiful feelings in the world.

the perfect recipe for a mood shift:

1. karaoke, karaoke and karaoke!!! red box was sooo... expensive *sigh* i mean, i really like the place and all, but spend almost 300+ for potato skins with bacon and cheese? but i was sooo hungry then and didn't care... besides, i won't go back there anytime soon so might as well try if they're food's nice... the verdict? hmm... it tasted like potato skins with bacon and cheese! better without the sauce, nothin' fancy...

twas nice to be with my high school friends again: albert who just came from canada, his labsy kaka, my ever-so-gwapo ahia, my uber missed friend memoy, chiber my grade one crush, "jasmin" hehehe. it felt good to just release all the stress through singing our lungs out!

2. parlor! hahaha had haircut that i don't think other people would notice *lolz* just took an inch off... had a hairspa and there =) kinda relaxing... the girl gave me a little back massage... relieving... =)

3. timezone!!! shooting hoops (yeah, i scored like 4? harhar), shooting monsters and hacking monsters with that samurai swords and car racing... plus screaming niece and nephews = perfect workout *lolz* got tired after, and my arms still hurt from that samurai sword and the heavy head of my 6yr old nephew who sat himself comfortably on my lap (which he says was parang pillow) and leaned on my shoulder (kaya lang sa super bigat nahuhulog na ung head nya sa arm ko, ow!!!) hahaha 2 days ako nag-arcade!!!

4. chinese food! shanghai bistro was ok, and so was superbowl.. .Chinese food galore!

5. my dolphin!

6. my silver bmw z3!!! sayang, mas maganda ata ung blue... hmm... *lolz* should i have it repainted? tipid naman na ako sa gas eh since de-tulak sha *rofl*

7. and... nothing beats bonding with my mom and atchie and the kwentos of my achi's visit to my chiechie, the shower of hugs and kisses i get from my pamangkins, and knowing that they love meeee... =)

just yesterday i saw this rainbow after going to pricesmart with my atchie and mom... and it reminded me... it was God's rainbow: the promise of sunshine after the rain... and once again I felt His touch as He picked me up with loving arms... and once again I'm embracing Him... hoping and praying that I'll never ever let go coz I know He never would... 0=)

I'm Yours

nah, this song is NOT dedicated to anyone in particular *lolz*... i just found the tune to be very catchy. Good thing this song replaced First Day Funk in 88.3... well not completely though coz they still play a few notes of that Rexona jingle once in a while... well la-di-da =)

I'm Yours
Jason Mraz

well you done done me and you bet i felt it
i tried to be chill but you're so hot that i melted
i fell right through the cracks
and i'm trying to get back
before the cool done run out
i'll be giving it my bestest
nothin's going to stop me but devine intervention
i reckon its again my turn to win some or learn some

i won't hesitate no more
no more it cannot wait, i'm yours

well open up your mind and see like me
open up your plans and damn you're free
look into your heart and you'll find love love love
listen to the music of the moment maybe sing with me
ah la peaceful melody
its your godforsaken right to be loved love loved love love

so i won't hesitate no more
no more it cannot wait i'm sure
theres no need to complicate
our time is short
this is our fate, i'm yours

i been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
and bendin over backwards just to try to see it clearer
my breath fogged up the glass
so i drew a new face and laughed
i guess what i'm sayin is there ain't no better reason
to rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
its what we aim to do
our name is our virtue

i won't hesitate no more
no more it cannot wait i'm sure
theres no need to complicate
our time is short
it cannot wait, i'm yours

back to blogging! =)

it's been a month since my last post! =) been really really busy that i only got the chance to go out thrice, i think, during the entire 4 weeks of silence...

week 1: to HK and back
HK was fantastic! despite the weird smells of the streets *heh* i enjoyed walking around... not that scared of having my wallet stolen! (i had this small pouch with a string attached to my pants... *wink*) the only sad thing about that is... snatchers there are actually not the locals... but some Filipinos who are staying there... =(

My hotel stay was great, too, primarily due to the fact that I could sleep until around 8:30! The HK Convention Center is just a 5-minute ferry ride away so there is definitely no rush, a total different lifestyle as I had here... now, I'm back to having to wake up 6:00 AM at the latest (that is, if I could still catch up with my niece and nephew... if not, then I'd either have to wait for the "next trip" or find my own cab to get to work *sob*) I've had plenty of sleep there... and lotsa load of news... Olympics 2012 will be held in London... London bombings... 8 Philippine cabinet members resign... makes u wanna stay there and never come back... and of course it all follows... peso devaluation and all... argh!

The food there was excellent! Had to finish up my big big mound of fried rice with raisins and beef fillet with mango sauce to get enough energy to walk around some more! Yeah, they have really huge servings... makes you wonder how the locals maintain their figures! Well, people there actually walk a lot... no need for gyms and working out whatsoever. (but I did see an FF there... probably intended for the foreigners?)

So what else? Mongkok, for me, was well a bit disappointing 'coz there aren't really much stuff there... you keep seeing the same products over and over again... Work was okay =) Though I spent 3 out of 5 days there most of the time...

Overall, it was a really great experience for me... Aside from the all my "first-times" there, it was also a good time for me to enjoy my sister's company... just the two of us... and (real) work is just so far away....

week 2-4: Back to normal
Reality bites /sob... gotta go back to the real world where I belong... catch up on my backlog... tutor tutor tutor!!! Nuthin much happened during this 3 weeks... Just work... and more work...
plans that weren't accomplished... (rappelling, going to Bicol [again], staying at grace overnight, etc. etc.) sigh... sad but things surely will get better =)
